Our Team

Roberta Corbett - Receptionist
Roberta comes to PWC, after a mid-life career change, with a background in office management and an emphasis on Customer Service. She has personally struggled with weight her whole life and hopes that her experiences can be valuable in creating positive experiences for all the families involved with PWC. Had there been a program like the one offered at PWC when she was a child she feels she could have dealt with weight issues differently in her formative years and not struggled throughout her life. She believes the program at the PWC is wonderful and looks forward to sharing in your weight management achievements. As the frontline contact for families she will help you coordinate your treatment schedule, book your appointments, organize fee schedules and assist with Insurance claims.
Tanja Gerhardts - Nutrition Consultant
As a nutrition consultant, Tanja believes that healthy food choices can lead to a balanced and more enjoyable lifestyle. As a graduate of the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology's (SAIT) Nutrition program, Tanja is excited to be part of the Pediatric Weight Clinic and the positive effect the team has in supporting children's weight management goals. Tanja's role at the PWC is to both educate and motivate children and families about making healthy food choices, meal planning, and even trying new foods and recipes to help them achieve their goals.
Kim Berenbaum, B.Sc. Kinesiology, CSP/CPT - Physical Trainer
Kim earned her Bachelor of Kinesiology at the University of Calgary and has worked as a personal trainer for the past 5 years. She has been enjoying every minute of helping people attain their health and fitness goals, whether it is one-on-one training or a small group setting. One of her favourite aspects of personal training is working with youth who are new to fitness and seeing them progress and learn to enjoy working out. Kim has experience working with a wide range of clientele from youth to seniors, all starting out with varying levels of fitness.
During her studies Kim has had the opportunity to be involved in a biomechanics research program examining the effect of heel shape in walking shoes, a practicum with the Calgary Health Region's Nutrition and Active Living Department, and a practicum in the exercise physiology lab at the University of Calgary.
In her spare time Kim enjoys equestrian sports. She is currently bringing a young horse up the competition levels, enjoys taking her dog out for a run, working out, and playing recreational league sports.
Philosophy: Active living is vitally important for people to live a healthy happy lifestyle.
